Alternate app icons
SmartGo One now allows you to choose alternate app icons. Like the regular app icon based on Shusaku’s ear-reddening move, three of them depict moves from other famous go games, e.g. move 78 of game 4 of the AlphaGo vs Lee Sedol match. And the icon based on the blood-vomiting game will be perfect for Halloween. Read about all the alternate icons in this blog post: https://smartgo.blog/2024/10/15/app-icons/
Player names and biographies
If you prefer pro games to show Lee Sedol instead of Yi Se-tol, you can now change that. And parts of the mini-biographies are translated to make them more useful to many players. More details in this blog post: https://smartgo.blog/2024/09/16/player-names/
Export images and EPUB
Another recent update of SmartGo One allows you to export images of the board position. You can also create your own EPUBs: you could already convert your annotated games into figures and diagrams like a book, but now you can also export that book as an EPUB to share with others. And yes, there's a blog post showing you how to do that: https://smartgo.blog/2024/10/15/share-epub/
Rotate board
Over 60% of SmartGo One usage is on iPhone, so I've added a feature to make play and replay work better on iPhone. When you rotate your device while you’re zoomed in, SmartGo can now automatically rotate the board so you can easily see the whole top or bottom half of the board. The following blog post shows how this works: https://smartgo.blog/2024/10/15/rotate-board/
