SmartGo One
I've added a new feature to SmartGo One that will be most useful if you play in a tournament. When you start recording a game, you can choose Tournament Mode, and SmartGo will disable all AI functions and joseki matching. This mode is also clearly indicated to your opponent and tournament officials by a green bar at the top. See the details in my blog post – looking forward to using it myself at the US Go Congress.
Tips & tricks
Some small features you might not be aware of:
- When you replay a game on the iPhone, you can zoom in to make the board bigger. As play moves to different areas of the board, SmartGo automatically keeps the current move visible.
- Some file functions such as deleting many games are not yet in SmartGo One. Until I get that done, you can can perform those functions in the Files app.
- In many book diagrams taken from actual games, you can tap on the diagram, then tap on the circled i to see the game info, then tap on Show to go to that game in the Pro Games (requires Pro subscription).
